Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 5, 2025

Your privacy is important to us. It is CloudBot's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you while operating our bot.

1. Information We Collect

CloudBot processes and stores the following types of information:

We do not collect any personal information that you do not voluntarily provide through the use of the Bot's storage commands.

2. How We Use Information

The information we collect is used for the following purposes:

3. Data Storage and Encryption

All data you choose to store via the Bot is encrypted using AES-256 encryption with a key derived specifically for your User ID from a master bot key. This encryption occurs before the data is transmitted to and stored within designated private channels on a Discord server.

The encrypted data resides within Discord's infrastructure. As such, data handling is also subject to Discord's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

We do not have access to your unencrypted data. Only you, by using the Bot with your Discord account, can initiate the decryption process for your data.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information or your encrypted data to outside parties.

Your encrypted data is stored in private channels on a Discord server. Access to these channels is restricted by the Bot's design to ensure that only the Bot (acting on your behalf) can interact with your specific data containers.

We will not disclose your encrypted data unless required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) comply with a legal obligation; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of CloudBot; (c) prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service; or (d) protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your encrypted data remains stored as long as the posts containing it exist on the designated Discord server. You are responsible for managing and deleting your stored data through Discord's interface if you wish to remove it (e.g., by deleting the bot's posts in your private channels, though a dedicated delete command might be added in the future).

If you wish for all your data to be removed, or if you have concerns about data retention, please contact us.

6. Security of Your Information

We take the security of your data seriously and use strong encryption methods. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your encrypted data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. The security of your data also depends on you keeping your Discord account secure and the bot owner keeping the master encryption key confidential.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age of consent in your jurisdiction). If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from children without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
